Position: Senior Mine Planning Engineer Role
Join Canadian Natural as a Senior Mine Planning Engineer based in Calgary, Alberta, working on optimizing integrated mine plans and maximizing asset value. Collaborate with diverse teams to ensure effective operations.

As part of the Albian Long Range Mine Planning team, you will focus on developing strategic life-of-mine projects while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Your strong background in mine design and optimization will be crucial for implementing best practices and improving performance metrics in a safety-sensitive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and optimize detailed mine plans for operations

• Manage life-of-mine planning and regulatory submissions

• Maintain mining models and enhance performance tracking

• Implement value optimization strategies for cost efficiency

• Drive adherence to engineering standards and best practices

Requirements:

• Degree in Mining, Civil, or Geological Engineering

• 5+ years of experience in oil sands or open-pit mining

• Familiarity with mining design software, including Vulcan and CAD

• In-depth understanding of mining economics and fleet management

• Possession of a valid Class 5 driver’s license
