Rail Construction Specialist at HDR

Exciting opportunity for a Rail Construction Specialist with HDR in Calgary. This role focuses on field inspections and documentation for large infrastructure projects.

HDR is looking for a Civil Field Specialist with a post-secondary degree in Civil Engineering or relevant experience. Responsibilities include daily inspections, maintaining documentation, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Be prepared for shifts that include weekends and extended travel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Document construction activities and maintain accurate records

• Conduct daily inspections as per established standards

• Supervise construction work and ensure quality and safety

• Track progress and report to the Project Manager

• Coordinate with project management teams as needed

Requirements:

• 5 years of construction engineering experience required

• Eligibility for Certified Engineering Technologist

• Experience with GPS or Total Station Surveying is a plus

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
