In this senior leadership role, you will guide complex mine waste initiatives, focusing on safety and environmental sustainability. With 10-15 years of expertise in tailings, geotechnical, or waste engineering, you are positioned to make significant impacts. Additionally, your role includes collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and client engagement to influence regulatory and environmental planning processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and evaluate tailings storage facilities and waste rock dumps
• Conduct geotechnical and hydrogeological investigations for project support
• Oversee permitting and risk management frameworks
• Mentor junior and intermediate engineers in technical excellence
• Champion innovative and sustainable mining practices
Requirements:
• 10–15 years of experience in mine waste engineering
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant engineering field
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Canada
• Proven leadership in multidisciplinary project delivery
• Strong understanding of mining sector regulations
