This full-time, permanent role seeks a seasoned geologist with 10-15 years of industry experience. You will conduct advanced technical subsurface work, mentor staff, and collaborate across teams to enhance geological understanding. Your expertise will guide regulatory and environmental priorities while leading complex geological assessments in Alberta’s oil sands.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct technical subsurface work supporting regulatory frameworks

• Lead complex subsurface projects integrating petroleum systems

• Mentor staff in geological workflows and best practices

• Develop geological models and cross-sections for studies

• Analyze energy sector trends and provide advisories

Requirements:

• 10-15 years of industry experience in subsurface geology

• M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Geoscience

• Professional Geoscientist designation or eligibility

• Advanced skills in subsurface characterization methods

• Proficiency in geological software, including Kingdom and Petrel
