As a Forest Planner reporting to the Planning Superintendent, you will lead forest planning efforts. Key responsibilities include developing harvest and road plans, ensuring compliance with DFO regulations, and liaising with stakeholders and government officials. Your expertise will contribute to sustainable forestry practices while focusing on optimizing data workflows for GIS-intensive tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop harvest and road plans considering topographical challenges

• Ensure alignment with FMP and DFO regulatory standards

• Oversee contractor supervision and project coordination

• Engage with stakeholders through consultations and public interactions

• Incorporate environmental and economic values in design
Requirements:

• RPF or RPFT designation for Alberta

• Strong proficiency with Arc Map or ArcGIS Pro

• Leadership skills in team environments

• Experience in harvest and road planning

• Commitment to safety and forest stewardship
