Climeworks seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer to spearhead the development of design specifications that meet operational and regulatory standards. Your extensive experience in process plants, particularly under cold-weather conditions, will allow you to successfully manage designs for our Alberta DAC plant while fostering innovation and safety. You will be instrumental in optimizing mechanical processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee global design specifications and philosophies
• Incorporate climate factors into mechanical design and planning
• Review and approve contractor proposals and ensure adherence to standards
• Create innovative engineering solutions for cost savings
• Document technical decisions and maintain project records
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering mandatory
• 10+ years' experience in cold-weather process plants
• Proven track record in full-cycle project execution
• Strong communication skills, fluent in English
• Travel up to 60% required, with site presence in Alberta
