We deliver industry leading customer service that is backed by a strong safety culture and exceptional staff.

We are currently assembling a team of qualified professionals for a major long‑term water treatment operations opportunity that is expected to mobilize in late‑summer/early‑fall 2026, subject to final contract award. This project offers the potential for long‑term employment stability, with work anticipated to continue for more than a decade.

This opportunity involves the operation and maintenance of a modern, world‑class water treatment facility supporting one of Canada’s most important environmental remediation programs. The facility utilizes advanced treatment technologies and plays a critical role in protecting the surrounding environment through the safe and compliant treatment of mine‑impacted water.

We are seeking qualified professionals interested in becoming part of a high‑performing team responsible for the operation, maintenance, environmental compliance, safety, and management of this critical infrastructure.

Shift Operator Supervisor reports to the Operations Manager and is responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day treatment plant operations and coordinating operational personnel to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant facility performance. This role provides frontline leadership, supports regulatory compliance, and serves as a key liaison between plant operations and management.

  • Ensure regulatory sampling, testing, and reporting requirements are met.
  • Conduct shift meetings and safety discussions.
  • Support employee training and development initiatives.
  • Assist with incident investigations and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with maintenance personnel regarding equipment issues and repairs.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to company and client requirements.
  • Lead by example for staff and direct reports by living Centurion values and applying them in day‑to‑day activities.
  • Provide oversight, guidance, and mentorship to direct reports.
Qualifications
  • WPI Class II or III Certification required.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.
  • Previous supervisory experience in water or wastewater treatment operations preferred.
  • Experience using computerized operating systems and reporting software.
  • Experience in industrial or mining environments considered an asset.
Why Join the Centurion Team?
  • Full‑time, permanent position with long‑term project stability (anticipated work extending 10+ years).
  • Competitive total compensation relative to experience and qualifications.
  • Fly‑in, fly‑out rotational schedule.
  • Travel, accommodations, and meals provided while on rotation.
  • Modern treatment facility utilizing advanced technologies.
  • Opportunity to work alongside an experienced operations and maintenance team.
  • Meaningful work supporting environmental stewardship and responsible resource development.

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in industrial water treatment, municipal water treatment, mine water treatment, environmental remediation projects, northern operations, power engineering, maintenance, health and safety, and environmental compliance.

Whether you are an experienced operator, supervisor, manager, engineer, safety professional, or environmental specialist, we encourage you to consider your qualifications for this role.
