Seeking the Next Valued Team Member!
You are hard working with an unquenchable thirst for learning. You know that integrity is the only constant and that a strong team can accomplish more than a group of self-serving individuals. Most importantly, you want to build assets that work! That’s what we do and that’s what sets us apart from our competition: we partner with our clients and we build things that solve their needs.
This role will include geotechnical, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, dam safety inspections, flood and spillway assessments, risk assessments, Potential Failure Mode Analyses, design modifications, regulatory coordination, and construction support.
This role is suited for an engineer who enjoys solving practical water-related infrastructure problems. The successful candidate will support projects involving dams, reservoirs, spillways, outlet works, stormwater systems, culverts, channels, erosion protection, embankments, containment ponds, drainage infrastructure, hydropower facilities, and water conveyance systems.
Provide Project Management and Project Administration- Data gathering and reporting for projects
- Contract administration tasks
- Budget, schedule, quality, forecasting, team and client management
- Complete hydrologic assessments for watersheds, reservoirs, containment ponds, stormwater systems, drainage basins, and watercourse crossings.
- Perform hydrologic modelling, flood frequency analysis, design storm assessments, runoff calculations, snowmelt evaluations, and climate-related hydrology reviews.
- Assess spillway capacity, outlet capacity, freeboard, reservoir routing, flood attenuation, peak flow management, and emergency overflow requirements.
- Support Inflow Design Flood and Probable Maximum Flood evaluations for dam safety and water infrastructure projects.
- Complete erosion, scour, sediment transport, riprap sizing, channel stability, and energy dissipation assessments.

- Use tools such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, EPA-SWMM/PCSWMM, Civil 3D, and other hydrotechnical software where applicable.
- Complete dam safety inspections, condition assessments, and field reviews for dams, reservoirs, spillways, outlets, hydraulic gates, embankments, channels, culverts, and related infrastructure.
- Perform dam safety evaluations in accordance with Canadian Dam Association guidance, provincial dam safety requirements, owner standards, and accepted engineering practice.
- Support Dam Safety Reviews, Annual Performance Reviews, surveillance reviews, comprehensive assessments, and related dam safety assignments.
- Review hydrologic records, reservoir level data, operating records, monitoring data, drawings, previous studies, inspection records, and maintenance documentation.
- Assess hydraulic performance, flood routing capacity, spillway adequacy, freeboard, over topping risk, erosion risk, outlet performance, and reservoir operations.
- Identify dam safety deficiencies, hydrotechnical performance concerns, operational risks, maintenance issues, and practical improvement measures.
- Support seepage, slope stability, settlement, erosion, internal erosion, piping, and embankment performance assessments in coordination with geotechnical specialists.
- Prepare and review risk assessments, Potential Failure Mode Analyses, and risk-informed decision-making processes.
- Identify credible potential failure modes related to over topping, spillway capacity, erosion, seepage, piping, outlet blockage, gate malfunction, and operational constraints.
- Support consequence assessments, deficiency reviews, surveillance planning, monitoring program reviews, emergency preparedness input, and risk reduction planning.
- Review instrumentation and monitoring data, including reservoir levels, flow records, seepage measurements, piezometers, inclinometers, settlement monuments, survey data, gate operation records, and visual inspection observations.
- Prepare design drawings, technical specifications,…
