Senior SCADA Engineer

Raise is currently hiring a Senior SCADA Engineer on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Note:
The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.

In this position, you will maintain and support advanced SCADA and real-time control systems that ensure the safe and reliable operation of pipelines across Canada and the U.S. Deep technical expertise in SCADA systems, real-time control, and OT environments is essential, as is strong collaboration across operations, engineering, IT/OT, cybersecurity, and external vendors.
Your contributions will directly empower control room operations, streamlining workflows and optimizing performance. By actively seeking improvements, you’ll help foster a culture of continuous advancement and operational excellence.
What you’ll do- Design, implement, and sustain enterprise SCADA systems for safe, reliable, real-time monitoring and control of pipeline operations.
- Provide senior-level operational support, including troubleshooting, incident response, and root cause analysis for SCADA and control system issues.
- Develop and maintain critical real-time applications that support operational safety, reliability, and performance.
- Execute and govern changes through Management of Change (MOC) processes in alignment with Control Room Management (CRM) regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical assurance and peer review, ensuring validated designs, configurations, testing, and production readiness.
- Align SCADA systems with control room operations, including alarm philosophy, abnormal operating conditions, and human-factors considerations.
- Translate operational and business requirements into functional and technical specifications for SCADA and control system solutions.
- Support regulatory compliance, inspections, and audits, including documentation, evidence preparation, and remediation of findings.
- Lead system lifecycle management and modernization initiatives, addressing obsolescence, upgrades, and integration of new pipeline assets.
- Support governance, business continuity, disaster recovery, and OT cybersecurity to ensure resilient, compliant pipeline control systems.
- 10+ years AVEVA OASys SCADA and critical real-time control systems experience in liquids pipeline operations.
- Strong experience developing highly reliable real-time applications.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex system issues and manage competing priorities under tight deadlines.
- Proven track record of delivering innovative solutions, leading change, and delivering tangible business benefits.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Computer, Automation, or equivalent).
