Position: Calgary-Based Mechanical Design Engineer
Join Northstar Well Intervention as a Mechanical Design Engineer located in Calgary, Alberta. Drive innovation in the design of advanced downhole tools in high-pressure, high-temperature environments.

In this full-time role, you'll develop unique solutions, collaborate with global partners, and ensure seamless integration of designs. A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5-10 years in mechanical design for R&D is required. You’ll work on complex analyses, prototyping phases, and crucial validation testing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create innovative components and assemblies for downhole tools

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design effectiveness

• Conduct rigorous analyses, including Finite Element Analysis

• Manage the prototyping phase and vendor relationships

• Design and implement tool validation test programs

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or related field

• 5-10 years in mechanical design, focusing on downhole tools

• Expertise in CAD software, especially Solid Works

• Knowledge of relevant industrial standards

• Physically capable of handling tool components
