Position: Environmental Technician for Oil Sands
Shape the future of resource development with WSP as an Environmental Technician in Northern Alberta's oil sands. Contribute to field investigations and data collection in a fly-in/fly-out role.

WSP is seeking an Environmental Technician to support a large-scale oil sands project in Fort McMurray, starting in late 2026. This position involves a two-week rotation where you'll execute geotechnical and environmental programs alongside a team of experts. Your contributions will directly impact project safety and success through diligent fieldwork and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Champion WSP’s Health and Safety policies

• Execute geotechnical field programs and on-site monitoring

• Collect and maintain accurate field data and logs

• Support laboratory testing and design decisions

• Resolve field-related issues with team members

Requirements:

• Degree in Environmental Sciences or Engineering

• Experience with drilling and soil sampling

• Strong organizational skills for independent work

• Effective communication skills in English

• Valid Alberta driver’s license for camp work
