Elevate your career as a Senior Geologist within the Conventional Heavy Oil team in Calgary. This role is pivotal for optimizing reservoir development plans through collaboration and technical expertise.
Reporting to the Alberta Geoscience Manager, you will engage in assessing geological evaluations and present technical recommendations to leadership. Your insights will form the backbone of development strategies, as you monitor industry advancements to implement new technologies effectively. Working closely with various teams will enhance project execution and operational consistency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct evaluations based on geological and drilling data
• Generate technical recommendations for ongoing development
• Present findings in formal reviews for project strategies
• Assess land opportunities for potential acquisition
• Integrate new technologies into development programs
Requirements:
•
B.Sc. in Geology and 8+ years in oil and gas
• Active APEGA membership or equivalent
• Proficient in geoscience software tools
• Strong experience in project management and evaluations
• In-depth knowledge of geology and sequence stratigraphy
