Civil Engineer - Hydrotechnical Focus

Tetra Tech is seeking a Civil Engineer with a hydrotechnical focus in our Mississauga office. This role involves key responsibilities in hydraulic design and hydrologic assessments, tailored for experienced professionals.

As a Civil Engineer, you will engage in essential hydrological and hydraulic evaluations to support large-scale river engineering projects. This includes drafting reports for regulatory approvals and collaborating with teams on extensive hydropower initiatives, ensuring all industry standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute hydrological assessments and flood analysis

• Develop hydraulic designs for weirs and dams

• Prepare reports for permitting and compliance

• Work with multidisciplinary teams on project deliverables

• Conduct energy evaluations for hydropower plants

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc. or

B.Eng.) in Civil Engineering

• Professional Engineer (PE, P.Eng.) registration is essential

• At least 6 years of engineering experience

• Expert in hydrotechnical engineering and modeling

• Strong communication skills for technical audiences
