Experienced Mechanical Designer

Position: Experienced Mechanical Designer Needed
CoolIT Systems is seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer in Calgary, Alberta to create cutting-edge coolant distribution units. This role requires strong CAD abilities and extensive product design experience.

As a Mechanical Designer, you will oversee the entire design process for CDUs, ensuring high performance and manufacturability. You'll work closely with various internal teams and external partners, focusing on continuous improvement and design efficiency. Excellent communication skills are a must to articulate your ideas effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop mechanical components and assemblies using Solidworks

• Document engineering processes and communicate design ideas

• Support engineering change management and documentation

• Conduct prototype testing and analyze data for design refinement

• Engage with partners to ensure seamless integration of cooling systems

Requirements:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field

• At least 5 years experience in mechanical design

• Knowledge of PLM and PDM processes

• Experience with manufacturing methods for mass production

• Proficient in drafting standards and GD&T principles
