Senior Bridge Engineer
Associated Engineering, a proudly Canadian, employee‑owned company, is looking for an experienced Senior Bridge Engineer to join our Calgary office. The role will lead design teams, manage bridge projects across Alberta, and deliver detailed technical work within budget and quality requirements.

- Excellent communicator with strong organizational skills and leadership potential, thriving in a dynamic work environment
- Plan, design and provide technical expertise on bridge and civil structure projects, focusing on client service for provincial and major urban clients
- Lead a structural team in analysis, design, evaluation and preparation of calculations and drawings for bridge projects
- Prepare technical reports following analysis, modelling and design calculations
- Prepare proposals and participate in business development and marketing initiatives for the group
- Prepare bid and contract documentation
- Monitor, control and report project status internally and externally
- Aid in financial arrangements for projects, including fee forecasting, preparation and allocation
- Provide guidance, mentoring and instruction to junior and intermediate staff
- Undergraduate degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university; post‑graduate degree in Structural Engineering is an asset
- Registered Professional Engineer with APEGA
- 20+ years of progressive experience in bridge engineering within the consulting industry
- Superior planning and organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Committed team player and highly self‑motivated
- Experience with Alberta Transportation, Economic Corridors and City of Calgary is an asset
- Occasional travel required
- Valid driver’s licence
