Drive geological evaluations for Cenovus's Conventional Heavy Oil team in Calgary.
This Senior Geologist role involves prospect generation, collaboration, and technical insights for successful project execution. Cenovus is looking for a Senior Geologist to join its Conventional Heavy Oil team. Reporting to the Alberta Geoscience Manager, you'll work within a multi-disciplinary group to craft optimized reservoir development strategies. With over 12 years of experience, your role includes technical recommendations, project presentations, and mentoring junior members.
Utilize your geological expertise to enhance Cenovus's development strategies in Calgary.
- Conduct evaluations using core data and drilling information
- Provide insights to inform project strategies
- Present technical updates to leadership and stakeholders
- Evaluate land opportunities for acquisition and development
- Lead workflow optimization initiatives across teams
- B.Sc. in Geology with 12+ years experience
- Registered with APEGA or equivalent
- Proficient with geoscience software like Geographix
- Solid project management expertise in asset development
- Solid understanding of clastic depositional systems
