High Voltage Substation Engineer Position

Join PHASOR Engineering Inc. as a High Voltage Substation Engineer, where your expertise will drive critical projects in electrical engineering and design. This full-time role features a dynamic environment and a supportive technical team in Alberta.
In this position, you will work with high voltage systems within PHASOR Engineering Inc.'s projects, focusing on detailed outdoor designs and rigorous calculations. The successful candidate must have a solid grounding in electrical theory, excellent attention to detail, and strong interpersonal skills. You'll also mentor junior staff while collaborating with various engineering disciplines to ensure design effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and authenticate outdoor substation layouts and diagrams

• Calculate and assess design aspects, including lightning and grounding

• Create specifications for project equipment

• Review engineering outputs for compliance and constructability

• Provide site construction support when necessary
Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering required

• 6 to 8 years of substation engineering experience

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Familiarity with relevant electrical codes

• Eligible for APEGA registration
