Join Barr as a Process Engineer specializing in mineral and chemical processing projects with a hybrid work environment. This position in Calgary requires collaboration and strong analytical skills.
In this mid-level role, you will support multidisciplinary teams at Barr by engaging in process analysis, design, and documentation for base and precious metals, chemicals, and fuels projects. You will play a critical role in ensuring project success through effective communication and technical reporting. Key tasks involve mass and energy balance modeling and assisting in laboratory testing.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct process calculations and energy balance modeling
• Create detailed PFDs and P&IDs for clarity
• Compile technical reports and specifications
• Estimate costs and size process systems
• Participate in fieldwork and laboratory testing support
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or related field
• At least 5 years of related experience
• Valid driver’s license with good standing
• Eligible to work in Canada and USA
• Experience with tools like Aspen Hysys is a plus
