Manager of Environment & Sustainability Initiatives

Lead sustainability initiatives as the Environment & Sustainability Manager with Heidelberg Materials in Southern Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. Focus on compliance and environmental performance.

In this vital role, you will support Heidelberg’s construction materials operations by managing environmental compliance and performance activities. Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and experience in industrial settings. You will work closely with management to implement strategies that promote environmental best practices and ensure compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage environmental permitting and impact assessments

• Coordinate environmental compliance documentation and reporting

• Oversee due diligence assessments for land transactions

• Ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements

• Conduct inspections and follow up on corrective recommendations

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental or related discipline

• Experience with construction materials or heavy industries

• Knowledge of environmental legislation and practices

• Strong analytical and communication skills

• Dedicated to improving sustainability performance
