Electrical Controls Technician

MiTek Canada is seeking an experienced Electrical Controls Technician II to improve and debug control components, including PLCs and VFDs. This role involves troubleshooting entire machinery control systems from concept to production, requiring collaboration with Electrical, Mechanical, and Manufacturing engineers. Your efforts will ensure seamless operations in every stage of product development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and test electrical control systems for complex machinery

• Debug and update PLCs, VFDs, and safety instrumentation

• Create documentation for machinery repairs and troubleshooting

• Maintain compliance with industry standards and governmental regulations

• Provide hands-on assembly and support at customer sites

Requirements:

• 4+ years in electrical controls experience

• Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical

• Deep knowledge of PLCs, motor controllers, and sensors

• Associate's Degree in Electrical - Electronics Engineering preferred

• Ability to read schematic diagrams and prints
