Join Cenovus Energy as a Senior Drilling Engineer on the Delineation / Heavy Oil team. This role emphasizes well planning, technical support, and operational performance improvement.

As a Senior Drilling Engineer, you will report to the Senior Manager and oversee drilling activities across Cenovus's key asset areas including Lloyd Thermal and Christina Lake. Your strong background in drilling engineering and project management will be vital as you design drilling programs and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform drilling engineering tasks in Delineation areas

• Design and improve drilling programs continuously

• Monitor costs and operational KPIs

• Support field execution for well objectives

• Conduct post-well reviews for improvement

Requirements:

• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with 8+ years' experience

• Strong expertise in thermal and heavy oil operations

• Familiarity with drilling operations and best practices

• Leadership and mentorship skills

• Analytical and business acumen
