Electrical Controls Technician

Become an essential part of MiTek Canada in Calgary as an Electrical Controls Technician II. You'll design, troubleshoot, and enhance complex equipment for the truss manufacturing industry.

In this role, you'll apply over four years of electrical controls experience at MiTek Canada’s Manufacturing Shop. Key responsibilities include debugging PLCs, VFDs, and servo drives while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure project success. Develop engineering drawings using AutoCAD/EPLAN and maintain compliance with industry regulations throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Update and support automated machinery for Component Manufacturing

• Lead troubleshooting sessions and develop corrective actions

• Create detailed support documentation for repairs

• Debug electrical control panels ensuring safety compliance

• Develop and maintain project drawings and documentation

Requirements:

• Over 4 years of electrical controls experience

• Knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical and PLCs

• Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred

• Proficient in reading schematics and prints

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
