Senior Engineer in Pressure Equipment Safety

Join our technical Quality Assurance team as a Senior Engineer focusing on pressure equipment fitness-for-service, alterations, and regulatory compliance. Leverage your expertise to support outage work and ensure equipment integrity across various assets.

In this senior-level position, you’ll perform API-579 / ASME FFS assessments and provide engineering support for repairs and alterations of pressure equipment.

Your role will involve interfacing with provincial regulators and reviewing assessments from consultants. This position is crucial for maintaining safe operations and ensuring cost-effective strategies in the Oil & Gas industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Authenticate API-579 / ASME FFS assessments at Level 2 & 3

• Complete calculations for alterations and re-ratings of equipment

• Provide support during outage work and repairs

• Review external FFS assessments for accuracy

• Interface with provincial pressure-equipment regulators

Requirements:

• P.Eng registration with APEGA

• 15+ years in Oil & Gas pressure equipment engineering

• 5+ years in API-579 / ASME FFS assessments

• Strong knowledge of ASME BPV and API-579 standards

• Experience with Abaqus or ANSYS for finite-element analysis
