We are looking for enthusiastic, team-oriented candidates with a strong foundation in physical hydrogeology and a desire to build technical expertise in groundwater modelling and analysis.

In this role, you will work closely with our experienced team of hydrogeologists and groundwater modellers, contributing to projects across the mining, remediation, civil infrastructure, waste management, and water supply sectors in Canada and internationally. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop core skills in applied hydrogeology within a collaborative consulting environment.

Responsibilities:

· Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team of hydrogeologists, geologists, geochemists, and groundwater modellers on a wide range of projects

· Assist in the development of 3D hydrogeological conceptual models using industry-standard software such as Leapfrog, Earth Volumetric Studio, ArcGIS, and Surfer

· Support the development, calibration, and refinement of numerical groundwater flow and contaminant transport models (e.g., MODFLOW, FEFLOW) under the guidance of senior staff

· Contribute to projects including environmental impact assessments, water balance studies, dewatering evaluations, and groundwater supply/extraction system design

· Support project management activities, including assisting with proposal preparation, work planning, budgeting inputs, scheduling, and health & safety documentation

· Participate in and support field investigations, including drilling programs, soil and rock logging, groundwater and vapour sampling, borehole instrumentation, monitoring well installation, and aquifer testing

· Compile, process, and assist in the interpretation of groundwater level, flow, and geochemical data

· Provide support to projects and teams across Alberta, British Columbia, Canada, and international offices, as required

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

·

B.Sc. in Hydrogeology, Hydrology, Geology, Geological Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline, with a strong emphasis on quantitative hydrogeology and two years of experience.

· Demonstrated academic or practical experience in groundwater flow, hydrogeological analysis, or related quantitative methods

· Eligibility for professional registration (e.g., Engineer-in-Training [EIT] or Geoscientist-in-Training [GIT]) with a relevant provincial regulatory body

Preferred Qualifications:

· M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Hydrogeology, Hydrology, Geology, Geological Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline, with an emphasis on quantitative hydrogeology

· Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective written and verbal communication abilities

· Willingness and flexibility to participate in field programs, travel, and adapt to project schedules as required

· Experience or familiarity with hydrogeological and data analysis tools such as gINT, AQTESOLV, ArcGIS, Surfer, Grapher, and PHREEQC

· Exposure to 3D conceptual modelling tools, such as Leapfrog or Earth Volumetric Studio

· Introductory experience with numerical groundwater modelling software, such as MODFLOW, FEFLOW, Hydro Geo Sphere , MIKE SHE, or similar platforms

· Experience with or interest in programming/scripting for data analysis or modelling (e.g., Python, MATLAB, Flo Py, C++ or similar tools)

· Familiarity with geostatistical methods and spatial data analysis concepts

· Basic understanding of relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., provincial and federal environmental legislation such as BC Environmental Management Act, Contaminated Sites Regulation, or Water Sustainability Act)
