This leadership role seeks a Senior Mining Engineer with 10-15+ years in open pit planning and design. You'll guide multidisciplinary teams through mining studies, support client engagement, and ensure technical excellence across project phases. Your expertise will directly influence major developments while contributing to WSP's expanding Mining & Metals practice.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead mining operations planning and evaluation efforts
• Guide teams through feasibility and execution phases
• Develop mine plans and schedules using Deswik
• Oversee PEA, PFS, and FS studies accurately
• Foster client relationships with strategic advisory support
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s in Mining Engineering and Professional Engineer designation
• 10-15+ years in open pit mine planning
• Proven experience with technical mining studies
• Advanced skills in mine planning software
• Strong communication and leadership abilities
