WSP is looking for a talented Intermediate Mining Engineer or EIT to join the Calgary Mining team. You will support mine planning studies through scheduling, equipment selection, and technical reporting. This position is focused on ensuring safe and cost-effective solutions while engaging in multidisciplinary collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support waste placement and pit design for mining projects
• Implement mine planning strategies using Deswik
• Contribute to PEA, PFS, and FS technical reports
• Engage with suppliers for mining equipment price estimations
• Advocate for safety standards within the team
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering
• 2-5 years’ relevant experience preferred
• Proficient in industry-standard mining software
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to travel for site work as needed
