EXP’s Calgary office is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager, Building Science to join their team and work with our Building Science Manager. What a day at EXP has in store for you
Under the direction of the Building Science Manager, you will:Lead project teams delivering consulting engineering services to clientsUndertake building investigations and field reviews for design, repair, and restorationMonitor and manage project tasks budgets and schedulesPrepare proposals and pursue new workPrepare building investigation reports and construction documentsProvide technical advice and guidance to clients and direct project teamsMentor, coach, and develop employees through daily project workManage the contract administration and quality of restoration projects through the construction stage, including contractor performance to ensure project deliverables and standards are metCommunicate effectively with clients by keeping them informed of site issues impacting project quality and resolving issues quicklyWhat your experience looks like
Degree in Civil Engineering / Architecture or a related field8-10+ years’ experience in the Building Science industry with:
New construction and building envelope restoration
Parking structure condition surveys would be an asset
Working as a prime consultant on projectsRegistered with APEGA or AAAExcellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skillsA motivated, self-starter with a demonstrated ability to work independently as well as within a team environmentStrong organizational and time management skills as well as attention to detailMust be able to meet project deadlinesFamiliar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) applicationsOrganized, works well under pressure, able to deal with situations with tactA valid driver's license and access to a vehicle is requiredLEED Accreditation, PMP would be an assetExperience with suspended access equipment (work from heights) an assetKnowledge in current energy requirements in building codes and energy modellingSome regional travel may be requiredEXP subscribes to the Workplace Equity Program.
