Position: WSP Hydraulic Structures Engineer Role

WSP invites applications for a Hydraulic Structures Engineer to join its growing team in the Prairies & North region. In this role, you will apply structural engineering principles to analyze and design hydraulic structures while performing essential calculations. Collaborating with experienced engineers, you will enhance the safety and reliability of water infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute reinforced concrete and structural steel calculations

• Design hydraulic elements like culverts and retaining walls

• Assess various loads affecting water structures

• Review technical documentation and drawings

• Collaborate with geotechnical specialists for design insights

Requirements:

• Strong foundational knowledge in structural engineering

• Experience with software like SAP
2000 and AutoCAD

• Exposure to hydraulic structures preferred

• Must be a registered P.Eng. with APEGA

• Excellent organizational and communication skills
