Lead Rail Bridge Designer

Position: Lead Rail Bridge Designer at Arcadis
Drive sustainable rail bridge design as the Lead Bridge Designer us on freight and passenger rail projects while providing essential engineering solutions and oversight.

In this senior role, you will oversee rail bridge analysis, rehabilitation, and design projects from planning to construction. Your expertise in structural engineering and knowledge of railway loading will guide project teams and ensure delivery meets quality standards. You will manage budgets, schedules, and define design criteria for diverse bridge projects in both public and private sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Produce and supervise engineering design deliverables

• Manage multidisciplinary teams through project phases

• Perform structural analysis and complex calculations

• Oversee construction with client and contractor collaboration

• Undertake assessments of existing rail bridges

Requirements:

• 4-year Civil or Structural Engineering degree

• 10+ years of rail bridge engineering experience

• Licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario, Alberta, or BC

• Proficient in 3D modelling software (CSI Bridge or MIDAS Civil)

• Strong technical report writing skills
