CADD Technologist

Opportunity:
Tetra Tech is adding a CADD Technologist to our Transportation Airports team based in Calgary, AB or Vancouver, BC. In this role, you will support the preparation of high-quality drawings and technical deliverables for airport and civil infrastructure projects. The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 per year. Please note that Tetra Tech considers various factors in determining pay, including but not limited to: education, relevant and demonstrated work experience in the role, skills, geographic location, qualifications, certifications, and other competencies relevant to the needs of the business.

Your Role:

Prepare design, tender, and construction drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Develop surface models, profiles, cross-sections, site plans, drainage layouts, and construction details.

Complete digital terrain modeling, volume calculations, and quantity takeoffs.

Prepare report figures, drawing sets, and other technical deliverables.

Support engineers and project teams with drafting and technical assistance.

Help ensure deliverables meet project deadlines, quality standards, and company procedures.

Collaborate with engineers, technologists, and drafting staff across multiple projects.

Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.

Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.

Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.

Additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

Post‑secondary certificate or diploma from a recognized technical program.

5 years of experience in civil drafting or design.

Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Clear communication skills and strong attention to detail.

Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently.

A team‑oriented mindset and a commitment to quality work.

Experience with airport or similar linear infrastructure projects considered an asset.

Familiarity with GIS or Project Wise considered an asset.

Strong sense of drawing presentation, visual clarity and accuracy considered an asset.

Interest in continuing to develop your technical skills considered an asset.
