Position: Chemical Engineer for CURA Technology
Elevate your career with CURA as a Chemical Engineer focused on developing innovative electrochemical technology in Calgary. Drive critical lab experiments and process engineering to advance CO2 reduction in cement production.

Joining CURA’s Calgary team means playing a vital role in optimizing the decarbonization of the cement industry. With your hands-on laboratory and process engineering skills, you will validate processes and lead simulations. Collaborating directly with the CTO and interdisciplinary teams, you will ensure alignment with CURA's ambitious goals while supporting the launch of the pilot project in 2027.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute feedstock characterization and bench-scale experiments

• Perform process simulations and design electrochemical systems

• Analyze data for equipment sizing and design inputs

• Collaborate on PFDs/P&IDs and techno-economic analyses

• Develop safety documentation and manage chemical processes

Requirements:

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Chemical Engineering

• At least 4 years of relevant laboratory and design experience

• Proficiency in process modeling tools like Aspen Plus

• Knowledge in electrochemical systems and materials processing

• Eligible for P.Eng. or E.I.T. with APEGA
