Become a key player at Mattr as an Automation Project Lead in Calgary, operating in a hybrid work model. This role emphasizes spearheading automation initiatives that enhance manufacturing operations.
As the Lead Automation Engineer, you will take charge of designing, building, and delivering advanced automation solutions while collaborating with various stakeholders.
Your role will require strong PLC programming skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical challenges as you lead project execution from conception through to successful commissioning, including some travel.
Key Responsibilities:
• Direct automation project design and execution phases
• Develop PLC programs and adapt existing machine frameworks
• Lead commissioning and installation efforts at different sites
• Work alongside teams to identify and implement required solutions
• Contribute to the development of automation dashboards
Requirements:
• At least 5 years of related engineering experience
• Expertise in PLC programming, including problem-solving
• Proven machine design and automation system experience
• Strong ability to coordinate across multiple teams
• Interest in exploring robotics and data automation
