S Electrical Controls Technician II

Position: MiTek’s Electrical Controls Technician II
Drive innovation with MiTek as an Electrical Controls Technician II in Calgary, Alberta. Support and improve machinery systems using your expertise in electrical components.

This role calls for a candidate with a minimum of 4 years of experience in electrical controls. You will troubleshoot complex systems and collaborate with various teams for successful machinery integration. Responsibilities include updating control components, developing engineering drawings, and providing troubleshooting support for machinery in the truss manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate and support complex automated machinery

• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions

• Develop and maintain documentation for machinery

• Integrate and test compliant electrical control panels

• Support customer troubleshooting visits as required

Requirements:

• At least 4 years of electrical controls experience

• Knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical or willingness to learn

• Experience with PLCs, VFDs, and servo drives

• An Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred

• Ability to understand technical prints
