Pipeline Hydraulics Engineer

Join Keyera as a Pipeline Hydraulics Engineer based in Calgary or Edmonton. This vital role focuses on pipeline modeling, analysis, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure operational efficiency.

In this permanent position within Keyera’s Technical Services Group, you will support existing facilities and lead projects in their execution phases. Your expertise in hydraulic modeling and analysis will directly impact the commercial viability and safety of Keyera's pipeline systems. Collaborate with commercial groups and external contractors to enhance project development and ensure compliance with company procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain transient and steady state hydraulic models

• Prepare detailed hydraulics reports and calculation packages

• Train team members on hydraulic software best practices

• Implement surge mitigation strategies and pressure protection systems

• Evaluate and optimize pipeline operating strategies

Requirements:

• Engineering Degree in Mechanical or Process/Chemical

• Professional Engineer with APEGA status

• 10+ years in pipelines/facilities operations

• Proficiency in DNV's Synergi and Schlumberger Pipesim

• Strong analytical skills and team collaboration ability
