Join the Technical Services team as a Pipeline Hydraulic Engineer in Calgary or Edmonton, impacting safety, efficiency, and commercial viability. Your expertise in hydraulic modeling will guide essential projects.
This role involves collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to support existing facilities while developing innovative solutions for pipeline projects. As a seasoned engineer, your 10+ years of experience will be pivotal in optimizing operations through steady-state and transient analysis. Prepare comprehensive hydraulic reports and lead training sessions for team members to elevate modeling practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build and maintain hydraulic models for pipeline networks
• Perform steady-state and transient analysis, interpreting results
• Document findings in hydraulics reports and calculation packages
• Train team members on modeling software best practices
• Oversee surge mitigation strategies and over pressure systems
Requirements:
• Engineering degree in Mechanical or equivalent field
• Professional Engineer status with APEGA
• 10+ years of pipeline operations experience
• Proficiency in DNV Synergi Pipeline Simulator
• Strong analytical skills and effective communication
