About CURA

CURA is a Canadian climate tech company developing electrochemical technology to reduce CO2 emissions from cement production. We split limestone into lime and pure CO2 for storage or use, cutting emissions by up to 85% while lowering energy use and manufacturing cost. CURA is building a 30,000 TPA commercial facility on line for 2028. Designed as a retrofit-ready solution, CURA's technology integrates with existing feed stocks, infrastructure, and operations.

The company's founders are seasoned climate tech leaders, with experience in scaling technologies to reduce global CO2 emissions. CURA works with partners globally to accelerate the decarbonization of the cement industry.

We are building a team of inventors, builders, and systems thinkers who thrive at the intersection of ambition and execution.

CURA operates with a strong safety culture and all team members complete OHS orientation and role-specific safety training.

The Role

CURA's technology produces a pure stream of CO2, but capturing its full climate and commercial value means getting that CO2 into permanent storage and turning verified emissions reductions into revenue. As Manager, Carbon Markets & Storage, you will own CURA's carbon value chain end to end: securing CO2 transport and storage for our projects, monetizing our environmental attribute credits (EACs), and positioning CURA's decarbonized cement within evolving carbon regulatory frameworks in Canada, Europe, and beyond.

This is a commercially focused role at the heart of CURA's business model, working alongside our engineering team and reporting directly into the leadership team. You will be the company's expert on how carbon becomes value — from the compression skid to the credit registry to the purchase agreement.

CO2 Transport & Storage
  • Identify, evaluate, and secure CO2 transport and storage pathways for CURA's projects, beginning in Alberta and expanding with CURA's project pipeline

  • Lead commercial negotiations and manage long-term relationships with CO2 storage providers, transport operators, and sequestration hub developers

  • Work with CURA's process and chemical engineers to spec CO2management systems, including compression, conditioning, custody transfer, metering, and transport loading

  • Develop and maintain CO2 offtake and storage cost models to inform project economics and site selection

  • Other duties as required to achieve CURA's milestones

Carbon Markets & Regulatory Compliance
  • Lead CURA's carbon markets strategy to monetize environmental attribute credits (EACs) from CURA's projects

  • Work with carbon registries to establish and maintain compliance, including quantification methodologies, monitoring, reporting, and verification (MRV) requirements

  • Develop deep expertise on how CURA's decarbonized cement and captured CO2 fit within regulatory and compliance schemes, including Alberta TIER, federal carbon pricing, the EU ETS, CBAM, and emerging low-carbon procurement standards

  • Support business development efforts with purchasers of cement EACs, including proposal development, credit structuring, and commercial negotiations

  • Monitor policy developments across CURA's target markets and advise leadership on risks and opportunities

Safety & Documentation
  • Must demonstrate attention to safe work practices

  • Ensure CO2 handling, transport, and storage arrangements meet applicable regulatory, permitting, and safety requirements

  • Maintain rigorous documentation of carbon accounting, registry submissions, and commercial agreements to audit-ready standards

  • Contribute to hazard identification and risk assessments related to CO2 management systems in collaboration with the engineering team

Collaboration & Communication
  • Must work well in a team setting and effectively collaborate across an interdisciplinary team

  • Results oriented with strong interpersonal, and communication/presentation skills

  • Effectively communicate outcomes and provide recommendations for further development to the management team

  • Demonstrated aptitude for problem solving, troubleshooting, collaboration, and innovation

  • Responsibly identify and manage IP, and communicate it to management, internal team members, and external stakeholders

  • Translate complex carbon market and regulatory concepts into clear guidance for technical teams, partners, and investors

Leadership & External Relations
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work independently on multiple competing priorities

  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders, such as vendors, suppliers, and partners

  • Excellent organizational, project, and time management capabilities

  • Contribute to a culture of honesty, transparency, innovation, and safety

  • Represent CURA with storage providers, registries, regulators, credit purchasers, and industry associations, acting as the company's external face on carbon

Required:
  • 5+ years of experience in carbon markets, CCUS, or carbon-intensive industrial sectors in a commercially oriented role (business development, origination, project development, or strategy)

  • Baseline…
