Senior Operations Engineer at AltaGas

Lead technical operations at Ridley Island with Alta Gas as a Senior Engineer in Calgary. You will provide expertise in improving safety and reliability through hands-on engineering support.

In this full-time role, you will support day-to-day operations by troubleshooting issues and leading risk-informed improvements. Collaborating with field leadership, you will manage small capital projects that enhance asset reliability and operational efficiency. This role requires travel to the Ridley Island site for hands-on engagement with the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide engineering support and troubleshoot operational challenges

• Lead risk management processes and track mitigation actions

• Partner with leadership on capital investment plans

• Manage small modifications via the MOC process

• Collaborate on design reviews and technical assessments

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or relevant field

• Over 8 years’ experience in oil and gas industry

• Professional Engineering designation (P.Eng., P.L.(Eng.), P.Tech.(Eng.))

• Strong expertise in midstream LPG infrastructure

• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and industry software
