As a Lead Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing automation solutions from design to startup. This role requires deep expertise in PLC programming, machine design, and troubleshooting within industrial environments. You will also partner closely with operational and engineering teams to drive project success and enhance internal automation capabilities, including future robotics integration.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead automation project design and execution from concept to startup
• Develop and adapt PLC programs for various applications
• Design systems for new builds and create relevant documentation
• Drive successful equipment commissioning at plant sites (up to 25% travel)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions meet requirements
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years in automation or controls engineering
• Strong PLC programming skills in ladder logic and structured text
• Proven experience in designing and commissioning automation systems
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Effective communication skills for collaboration
