Senior SCADA Engineer

As a Senior Engineer at Trans Alta, you will leverage over five years of experience in SCADA and industrial operations. Your responsibilities will include system diagnostics, troubleshooting, and risk assessment to enhance safe operations across multiple sites. You will work closely with field and support teams to ensure system reliability while implementing cybersecurity measures and maintaining vital SCADA environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Diagnose SCADA systems for remote monitoring and control
• Collaborate with AESO for operational technical support
• Respond to outages and equipment issues promptly
• Specify, install, and maintain SCADA hardware and software
• Update standards and procedures for SCADA systems
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Software Engineering
• Over 5 years of SCADA experience in an industrial setting
• Professional Engineer status with APEGA
• Knowledge of data communications protocols
• Ability to travel 20-30% as needed
