Electrical Designer for Oil and Gas

Join our Calgary team as an Electrical Designer specializing in the oil and gas sector. Contribute to designing electrical systems and preparing detailed schematics for key projects while traveling to site occasionally.

We seek a qualified Electrical Designer with over five years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Your expertise should cover engineering analysis, understanding of industry codes, and the ability to engage with customers and suppliers on technical issues. You will also need to demonstrate knowledge in multi-discipline environments and procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design electrical systems and create detailed schematics

• Conduct power system studies using ETAP or SKM

• Prepare classifications and layouts for substations and control panels

• Develop electrical deliverables for Electric Heat Tracing

• Review vendor documents and drawings

Requirements:

• Completion of a two-year college program or similar experience

• Minimum 5 years as an Electrical Designer in Oil and Gas

• Proficient in electrical design applications

• Strong understanding of planning and estimating processes

• Excellent technical communication skills
