Senior Mine Waste Engineer at WSP

As part of WSP's mining practice, you will oversee key mine waste projects, ensuring safety and sustainability are prioritized.
Your role will involve leading geotechnical investigations, providing strategic environmental insights, and championing innovative waste management practices. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, you’ll also engage in client relations and support business development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design tailings storage facilities and waste management systems
• Lead hydrogeological investigations to inform project decisions
• Provide input into permitting and environmental planning
• Mentor junior engineers to promote professional growth
• Represent WSP in regulatory and industry discussions
Requirements:
• 10-15 years of experience in mine waste engineering
• Bachelor's or Master's in relevant engineering fields
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in Canada
• Expertise in tailings dam design and risk management
• Proven leadership in managing multidisciplinary projects
