WSP seeks an Intermediate Water Quality Modeller to support crucial assessments and hydrodynamic modelling for mining projects. You will engage in environmental impact studies that influence decisions from mine feasibility to closure. Your analytical skills will be pivotal in managing complex datasets and preparing comprehensive reports.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop hydrodynamic and water quality models for various water bodies
• Calibrate models to guide water management strategies
• Conduct environmental impact assessments and baseline studies
• Analyze surface water monitoring data and outputs
• Prepare technical reports that meet regulatory standards
Requirements:
• 5+ years in water quality and hydrodynamic modelling
• Degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering
• Eligible for EIT or P.Eng. registration
• Experience with modelling platforms like WASP and MIKE3
• Proficient in Python, R, or MATLAB for data analysis
