Your impact

We are seeking a motivated early-career Chemical or Process Engineer-In-Training to join our Water/Wastewater team in Calgary. This role is ideal for recent graduates or candidates with 0-2 years of industry experience who are eager to apply engineering principles to real-world water treatment and process optimization challenges. The successful candidate will support process improvement initiatives, ensure operational efficiency, and maintain compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design, analysis, and optimization of water and wastewater treatment processes
  • Monitor plant operations and collect/process data to improve performance and efficiency
  • Support troubleshooting of equipment and process issues in production environments
  • Participate in process design calculations, simulations, and documentation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, maintenance, and quality
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives
  • Prepare technical reports, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process documentation
Here’s what you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related field
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience (co-op or internship experience considered an asset)
  • Fundamental understanding of process engineering principles, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with engineering software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, MATLAB, AutoCAD) is an asset
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
