Intermediate Instrumentation & Controls Engineer

• Support execution of projects across Studies, Design Basis Memoranda (DBM), Front-End Engineering Design (FEED), and Detailed Design
• Assure compliance with engineering procedures and quality control standards
• Interface with multidisciplinary engineering teams and equipment suppliers
• Specify, select, and size field instrumentation, control valves, on/off valves, and pressure safety valves
• Prepare and review instrument indexes, I/O lists, load lists, and related documentation
• Develop material take-offs (MTOs)
• Support selection and procurement of DCS, PLC, and Fire & Gas Systems hardware
• Prepare and review instrument loop diagrams, control cabinet designs, and wiring documentation
• Perform squad checks of vendor data and drawings from other disciplines
• Provide instrumentation and controls input to P&t
• Develop instrumentation and controls technical content for assigned project work
• Maintain communication with equipment vendors and suppliers
• Prepare Material Requisition s (MRs), Technical Bid Evaluations (TBEs), and award recommendations

• Diploma in Instrumentation Technology or Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university
• Minimum four years of industry experience in Instrumentation & Controls engineering
• Good understanding of API, ASME, and CSA codes, standards, and directives
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary engineering environment
• Oil & Gas industry experience desirable
• Experience using AVEVA Instrumentation or Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI) desirable
• Registration with, or eligibility for registration through, APEGA desirable

Demonstrates expertise in Instrumentation and Controls Engineering, including compliance with API, ASME, and CSA standards, and proficiency in developing technical documentation and specifications for field instrumentation and control systems.
