Join Trans Alta's Dam Safety team in this temporary 15-month role. This position is ideal for an Intermediate Civil, Geological, or Geotechnical Engineer with 5-10 years of experience. You will monitor dam safety systems and conduct inspections across Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario, ensuring regulatory compliance and public safety.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor dam safety instrumentation and analyze data
• Conduct inspections of dams and civil structures
• Prepare annual performance reports on dam safety
• Supervise small-to-medium construction projects
• Support the Public Safety Management Program
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Geological, or Geotechnical Engineering
• 5-10 years of relevant experience
• Professional Engineer status in Canada
• Strong understanding of dam safety and geotechnical practices
• Valid Class 5 driver's license
