Lead Mining Engineer WSP

Drive innovative mining solutions as a Senior Mining Engineer at WSP, located in Calgary or Vancouver. Lead complex projects and mentor engineers while shaping sustainable resource development.
In this pivotal role, you will utilize over 10 years of progressive experience to guide multidisciplinary teams through open pit planning and project execution. You will oversee essential mining studies and technical deliverables, fostering client engagement and contributing to WSP's mission within the Mining & Metals sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and evaluate open pit mining operations

• Lead diverse teams through project feasibility and execution

• Develop and assess production schedules and mine plans

• Prepare comprehensive PEA, PFS, and FS studies

• Mentor emerging engineering talent and promote safety
Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering and P.Eng. status

• 10-15+ years in mine planning and design

• Strong experience in delivering technical mining studies

• Skilled in Deswik, with additional software knowledge a plus

• Demonstrated leadership and communication capabilities
