Join Suncor as a Specialist Geoscientist based in Calgary. Enhance our In Situ Development team with your SAGD drilling expertise and technical experience in thermal oil.

We are looking for a motivated Specialist Geoscientist to support our In Situ assets didates should have 12+ years of geoscience experience in oil and gas, specifically in SAGD operations. You will take charge of pad development, well execution, and risk identification while mentoring junior team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute planning for horizontal SAGD wells

• Integrate subsurface interpretations with operational requirements

• Provide operational support to wellsite drilling teams

• Analyze geological uncertainties for development decisions

• Suggest improvements in workflows and best practices

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology

• Professional designation with APEGA as P.Geo.

• Significant experience in drilling and development

• Proficiency in Petrel and directional drilling tools

• Strong collaboration skills in multidisciplinary teams
