As part of the OT Infrastructure, Communications & Security Team at ENMAX, you will play an essential role as a Planning Engineer. This permanent position requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and engagement with Utility Communications and Control Centres. Your responsibilities involve not only planning but also effective communication and risk assessments for operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage changes in telecommunications equipment status
• Coordinate with vendors for lifecycle support
• Review and update telecom diagrams in substations
• Participate in telecommunication industry groups
• Lead outage impact assessments for all events
Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years experience in electrical utility or telecom sector
• Expertise in IP/MPLS solutions and tele-protection
• Proficiency in GIS-based fibre tracking
• Familiarity with AUC standards and outage response
• Registered Professional Engineer in Alberta
