Position Summary

AiM Land Services is seeking an Indigenous Field Representative / Indigenous Relations Field Liaison to support Indigenous engagement and consultation activities throughout construction, environmental field programs, and regulatory projects across Alberta and Western Canada.

This role will serve as a key liaison between Indigenous communities, Project teams, environmental specialists, and construction personnel by facilitating communication, supporting Indigenous participation in field activities, documenting concerns, and ensuring commitments are effectively communicated and implemented in the field.

The successful candidate will enjoy working outdoors, traveling to project sites, and building respectful relationships with Indigenous communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and facilitate site visits, field tours, and Project meetings with Indigenous communities.
  • Act as the primary field liaison between Indigenous community representatives and Project personnel.
  • Support Indigenous Monitors during environmental, archaeological, construction, and regulatory field programs.
  • Communicate Indigenous concerns, observations, and recommendations to the Project team in a timely and professional manner.
  • Prepare daily field reports documenting activities, discussions, observations, commitments, and follow‑up actions.
  • Track commitments, action items, and community feedback throughout field programs.
  • Review Project maps, GIS data, and spatial information to coordinate field logistics and site visit planning.
  • Navigate Project areas using maps, GPS, GIS applications, and aerial imagery.
  • Coordinate daily field logistics, including meeting locations, travel routes, access permissions, and safety requirements.
  • Participate in environmental, Traditional Land Use (TLU), and Indigenous Knowledge field programs as required.
  • Support the implementation of Indigenous monitoring programs during construction.
  • Assist with documenting culturally significant observations and communicating findings to the appropriate Project personnel.
  • Maintain positive, respectful, and collaborative relationships with Indigenous communities, clients, regulators, and contractors.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with Project health, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to personal and team safety by closely following company safety policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Assist with other responsibilities as needed to contribute to the overall success of the team.
