As a Lead Pipe Stress Engineer, you will provide technical direction and oversee analyses on major projects. This role demands extensive experience in piping stress evaluation, allowing you to influence design decisions and mentor junior engineers. Key Responsibilities:
• Lead stress analysis on SAGD pipelines and oil installations
• Oversee evaluation of pipe wall stresses and local stresses
• Review and approve stress models and calculations
• Perform flexibility analyses per ASME B31.3 and CSA Z662
• Interface effectively with cross-discipline teams
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 10+ years of relevant industry experience
• Proficient with AutoPIPE, CAESAR II, and Nozzle Pro
• Strong understanding of dynamic analysis principles
• Professional Engineer registration in Alberta
